Powered by SoundFlow’s SFX framework and available directly from the new SoundFlow panel inside Pro Tools 2025.10 and later, the new Session Assistant provides a real-time conversational interface inside Pro Tools, translating natural language commands into automated actions. Designed with a familiar chat-style interface, it allows users to perform tasks such as creating, renaming, and modifying tracks, managing routing, or adjusting parameters simply by typing or speaking a request. Session Assistant understands your context, adapts to your workflow, and executes your requests.

Key Features

Conversational Commands: Control Pro Tools by typing or speaking naturally. Voice Input: Supported through your system mic for issuing quick commands. Context-Aware Automation: Is aware of the current Pro Tools session's state to perform accurate actions. Memory and Adaptability: Remembers what you've asked during your current chat, allowing multi-step conversations and adaptive responses. Available in Pro Tools’ SoundFlow panel: Runs directly inside Pro Tools, so you can stay focused on your session without switching apps.

How It Works

  1. Open the SoundFlow panel on the right side of the edit window in your Pro Tools session.

  2. Click on Session Assistant in the SoundFlow panel.

  3. You now have two options. You can either type a prompt, or you can use the microphone assigned in your system settings to record a prompt.

  4. To use voice input, click the microphone button in the Session Assistant input text field. Once you’ve finished recording the prompt, click the send button.

  5. Watch SoundFlow’s Session Assistant go to work!
