How long have you been using SoundFlow?

Every session since 2022 has utilized SoundFlow in some part, whether simple keyboard macros through to complex custom project scripts.

Can you share some projects where SoundFlow has played a role?

The Rings of Power - Last Ballad of Damrod Bear McCreary - The Singularity Tesseract - War Of Being Karnivool - forthcoming album

Additionally, I wrote a helpful film/TV mix-prep script last year which has been immensely helpful in some recent yet-to-be-released projects.

How has SoundFlow improved your workflow?

Anything that is a repetitive task or takes multiple steps to complete, I try to create a script that does the work for me. It's perfect for situations when you don't want to be removed from the creative flow.

Mix session preparation time has significantly reduced. Particularly for larger film/tv sessions, it's taken hours of renaming and routing down to minutes. The tedium of importing audio files, routing, and structuring can be done in moments which lands you in a creative mindset so much faster.

How much time does SoundFlow save you?

I'd imagine it has saved days if not weeks at this point. It's only going to increase the more I use it and the more scripts I write.

It's addictive though, now that I have learned how to write the scripts, all the time I save is spent writing more scripts! A good problem to have.

What's a SoundFlow feature that excites you the most?

The open-source scripts and sharing via the forum where I continue to find novel approaches to using SoundFlow and ProTools that other users use in their workflows. I have a long list of bookmarks of forum pages with interesting code I hope to utilize at some point.

Why would you recommend SoundFlow to others?

It's a straight up time saver for audio professionals, allowing for increased creativity.
