Atmos Mixing (Complete Pack)

This is my Soundflow Set that I use when mixing movies. The Show Tracks is based on my mix template. I use the Atmos Mixing iPad surface while working.

Added a Preview warning script to flash a sign when preview is on. It requires the installation of an app from the link in the script for it to run.

  • Added a Transfer edit and Fade command inspired byJames Wasserman. Select the track to learn the fade and edits from and click Learn. Then select the tracks you want to apply the fades and edits and click apply for just gaps or the Full edit.

  • Added a Transfer Edit from Video track to audio track command.

V2.4.0

Added a Simple Stem Bouncer. I use this for my film outputs. You can use the app in the folder to run this. Create Individual Track Solo Pass or Create Individual Track Mute Pass works like this. You can select a bunch of tracks that you want to solo or mute incrementally. This means if you have 4 tracks selected and click the Create Individual Track Solo Pass it will make a list of the timeline selection and the tracks. It will ask you for the name but if you leave it blank, it will take it from each track for that bounce. Now if you hit bounce, it will solo the first track, Bounce, the second track, bounce and so on. The create Group Solo or Mute is one where it will solo / mute all the selected tracks together and bounce. So you can create one set of say 10 tracks solo'd and another with 5 tracks solo'd etc and it will create a list from which it will create the bounce. The Setup Bounce Window will open the bounce window so that you can set up where it will go and what the outputs are. Just click cancel. You dont need to worry about the name, that will automatically be filled. Reset Bounce List will clear the json. Do this in case you are starting a new bounce from another session.

V2.0.1 Updated Code for the SFX Engine. Sped up some of the other commands for efficiency.

V1.4.1: Updated RMU controller code. The first time you launch you need to run the _ipConfig script and enter your RMU IP address. If it's on the same machine as your PT, then enter 127.0.0.1. Else enter the address shown on the RMU. It will create a json file with this data the first time it runs, in the /Documents/ folder. If you get an error, then within System Preference -> Privacy and Security -> Full Disk Access make sure SoundFlow is enabled.

V1.4: Forte! Router and Spanner to Object Converter added in Utilities

The Descriptions of the commands are given in the individual command sections. For the RMU controller to work, make sure you enter the IP Address of the Dolby RMU in the ipConfig script. If running a production suite it is 127.0.0.1

The iPad control can be opened on your iPad or android device as long as you have the soundflow app installed on it and it is on the same network as your soundflow machine. It has a few buttons that are currently specific to my template but you can rename and change the command by making a copy of (Atmos Mixing iPad), going to Edit Surface, and changing the Title and the Command values of the needed button on the right hand side. The ones specific to my session are:

  1. The top two rows that open folders (except for the Close All Open Folders command). These are currently marker locations within my template. You can make your own presets in Show Tracks - Show Tracks (Memory Location) and use those.

  2. The Ref-Mix Toggle and Stereo Binaural AppleMusic button in the bottom. These are specific for my monitor toggle. You can use these buttons if you have a track named Ref and another named Mix to toggle between these. Same for the Stereo, Binaural and AppleMusic tracks. In my session, these are auxes that have the renderer return. The AppleMusic is a 7.1.4 Aux with the audiomovers plugin in it.

  3. Rename Record. This is specific to my template where I use this to rename my print tracks for film deliverables.

  4. In the Panner Router window, the Router and Open Folder, are similar. It uses factory presets in Show Tracks -> Move Track to Folder and Open Folder (Beta) respectively.

  5. The Dolby renderer requires you to have V 5.3 and above to work.

How do I get Atmos Mixing (Complete Pack)?

Atmos Mixing (Complete Pack)  is a package built on the SoundFlow platform. To get it, please follow these steps:

  1. Sign up as a new SoundFlow user if you don't already have an account.

  2. Install the SoundFlow app on your Mac.

  3. Open up the SoundFlow app, click the "Store" tab

  4. Locate the 'Atmos Mixing (Complete Pack)' package by searching in the search field.

  5. Click the Install button.
