FabFilter Pro-Q 3 to Pro-Q 4 Converter

FabFilter is my favorite plugin company ever. Though despite loving Q4 it's only alllllmost backwards compatible with Q3. I made this script as a means to effortlessly convert existing Q3 instances to Q4 instances.

It can convert:

Single Instance

Entire Track(s)

Entire Sessions

**NOTE: **Because this relies on screen coordinates for robust performance the newly loaded Q4 windows need to be set to "Medium". If your typical preferred default Window Size is different to this it can be manually adjusted in the code if you know how. It's not too hard to include in future updates, but I'm too busy rn to bother lmao.

How To:

1. Run script

2. On first initiation it will need to save, close and re-open your session. This is a one-off procedure due to how FabFilter handles its presets, and is necessary to ensure reliable conversion. It is unlikely you will ever be asked to do this again.

3. Select the type of conversion you would like: Single Instance, Selected Tracks or Entire Session

4. Follow the prompts (if any) and let it do its thing.

How do I get FabFilter Pro-Q 3 to Pro-Q 4 Converter?

FabFilter Pro-Q 3 to Pro-Q 4 Converter  is a package built on the SoundFlow platform. To get it, please follow these steps:

1. Sign up as a new SoundFlow user if you don't already have an account.

2. Install the SoundFlow app on your Mac.

3. Open up the SoundFlow app, click the "Store" tab

4. Locate the 'FabFilter Pro-Q 3 to Pro-Q 4 Converter' package by searching in the search field.

5. Click the Install button.
