Route MIDI To Open Plugin
Control MIDI enabled plugins by routing the output of an Instrument track to an open plugin window. Create a dedicated Instrument track for plugin control, set the input to your MIDI controller and this script will route the controller to the open plugin. This is for MIDI enabled plugins only such as theFabFilter Pro-Q 3. REQUIRES Pro Tools 2024.10 and above
Requirements: Pro Tools 2024.10 and above
This scripts in this package will allow you to control MIDI enabled plugins and virtual instruments (ie: Fab Filter Pro-Q) using a standard MIDI controller.
Use the "Create Instrument Control Track" script to create an instrument track that will be used to route MIDI from your controller to the focused plugin window.
Once created, use the "Route MIDI From Control Track" script to route the MIDI output from the control track to the open plugin window.
IMPORTANT: Be sure than no floating windows cover the MIDI Output Selector on the control track!
Be sure to create a preset for both scripts that match the name and channel of your MIDI controller.
Mapping of plugin parameters is handled by the plugin itself. Consult the plugin's documentation.
You must run the "Route MIDI From Control Track" script whenever a new plugin window is opened or focused.
This package can also be used to route MIDI from keyboards to virtual instruments as well.
Have Fun!
