PT Custom MIDI Velocities

Batch change MIDI note velocities to user-specified custom values. *Tested on Pro Tools 2026.4.1

Users can deploy this script to quickly batch edit MIDI velocities for selected notes in Pro Tools.

How to use it:

1) Select the desired MIDI notes (in MIDI editor OR in track's note lane)

2) Run the script and wait for SF prompt window (img below).

3) Type desired velocity value and press 'Return'.

*Tested on Pro Tools 2026.4.1 release

NOTE: This script uses the 'Set all to' as the default. Alternate velocity change modes are offered in Pro Tools and are not currently supported in this release.

Version 1.1.0 includes:

  • Two premade decks – 5x3 and 8x3 (shown below)

  • Templates for custom "Add", "Subtract", and "Set all to" velocity edits

  • Updated icons.

How do I get PT Custom MIDI Velocities?

PT Custom MIDI Velocities  is a package built on the SoundFlow platform. To get it, please follow these steps:

  1. Sign up as a new SoundFlow user if you don't already have an account.

  2. Install the SoundFlow app on your Mac.

  3. Open up the SoundFlow app, click the "Store" tab

  4. Locate the 'PT Custom MIDI Velocities' package by searching in the search field.

  5. Click the Install button.
