Reveal

Fast navigation for Pro Tools sessions and folders

A focused toolkit for moving fast between your Pro Tools sessions and their folders. It opens locations in your existing Finder, reuses tabs when the folder is already showing, and brings the right window forward instantly.

Smart context detection. When Pro Tools shows a file dialog (Import Audio, Import Session Data, Save As, Export, Choose Destination, and more), the same button that reveals in Finder navigates the dialog directly.

Works whether Pro Tools is running or not. The scripts detect your current session when Pro Tools is open. When it isn't, they identify your most recent session from Pro Tools' own recent-sessions list.

Reveal in Finder (or navigate to in Pro Tools dialogs):

  • Reveal Bounced Files

  • Reveal Audio Files

  • Reveal Video Files

  • Reveal Session File Backups

  • Reveal Session Folder

  • Reveal Parent Folder

  • Reveal Session Subfolders - popup picker for any folder inside your session

  • Reveal Last Bounce - your most recently bounced file, selected and ready to drag or import

Other tools:

  • Open Recent Session - popup picker for switching between recent sessions in Pro Tools

  • Copy Session Path - copies the current session's folder path to your clipboard

  • Create READ ME - drops a READ ME.txt into the frontmost Finder folder and opens it

How do I get Reveal?

Reveal  is a package built on the SoundFlow platform. To get it, please follow these steps:

  1. Sign up as a new SoundFlow user if you don't already have an account.

  2. Install the SoundFlow app on your Mac.

  3. Open up the SoundFlow app, click the "Store" tab

  4. Locate the 'Reveal' package by searching in the search field.

  5. Click the Install button.
