Spot Clips at Intervals
Automatically places a group of clips on a single track at exact timecode intervals, starting from a user-defined timecode.
Instructions
First, place all your clips in the desired order on the timeline. You can pull them from the clip list, drag and drop from your computer, or copy and paste clips from elsewhere in your session. The clips can be right next to each other or with space in between, it doesn't matter, just make sure all of your clips are placed to the left of the destination timecode. Select the Grabber (Time) tool and highlight the first clip. Ensure you are not in Shuffle mode. Run the command, and you will be prompted to enter the desired starting timecode to place the first clip. Enter it either as an 8 digit number with no spaces, or in true timecode format like 01:00:20:00, whichever you prefer. Next it will prompt you for the interval that you want the clips placed. Whole numbers are treated as minutes, or you can enter standard timecode format (00:00:30:00) for anything less than 1 minute. The default is 1 minute, which is already filled in. Click ok, and all your clips will be moved accordingly!
Designed for dialogue, VO, ADR, and post-production workflows where clips must be precisely aligned on the timeline.
